I am working on a web-page for a kitchen n bath designer.
I think we are almost ready to launch, but I wanted to get some feed back from you all first. I am particularly interested in:
1.) ease of use
2.) visual consistency
3.) compulsion to buy thru design
4.) enough content (text)
5.) effective navagation

and whatever else you may want to contribute.

freshpimpin,

What exactly is better about your site?

I think you're just trying to get by the system, since you didn't even look at my site!

Although I like your pimp character?

sorry, I got a email saying I had a reply.

The reply simply said: "this site is better" with a link to a pimping site. While I was writting my response someone rightfully deleted the thread. (Thanks)

Anyway, feel free to delete these last post as well.

the contact page needs work... the whole site is gray-red, why do you use blue for the contact form and submit button? also the "how we work" section consists of a blue background picture?

Simple and well structured info!

I'd definitely by a kitchen if i had the money... BTW how much would it cost me to design a kitchen?

Nice work!

These kitchens are around $40,000 - $180,000 and the design commission is about 8%.

The blue Contact text fields looked softer than maroon, and the blue background in the "How we work" section is because it is a picture of "blue prints" so I thought it was appropriate.

What about the contact page (other than the blue highlight) should I work on??

Thanks for the feed back.

I notice 2 things.

1. The first picture of the kitchen is pixelated.2
2. The fading in letters loads on each page - maybe it was just my but thats a bit annoying.

Other than that, I like the website.

a very nice looking site!! very easy to understand and has a kind of free feel to it...When I was at college I was always been told to stop boxing things up!!

I did notice that a few of your images took some time to load up. on first viewing. but I guess you can get that with any site.

other than that. I really like your site. I particuarlly like the colourscheme it works really well.

ok so it 's a very slight redesign, but I changed the form highlights on the contact page to red as suggested.
Contact Form

Check it out and see what you think?

The previous blue was vary similar to the defualt Mac or Safari highlights. I haven't tested it with Safari yet to see if the red will show up.

hah, I'm amazed. I like all bt I agree with ZeroIQ that the fact that the "motto" loads and plays on every page is somewhat annoying... But I dont think you should change it, maybe its supposed to be annoying? So people really get what it is into their heads? cause it does attach.. no.. attract ones eyes.....

i think that the big main picture at the botom of the index should be at the top. its more hierarchical that way. the nav is easy and the site is ery consistent. i like the simple yet effective design,

gd job, 7/10
