Thought I'd post my site to see what comments and suggestions I get and a rating on a scale of 1 to 10, ten being the best and 1 stinks.

http://www.thewarlegends.com/

Its a online gamers clan site, link heavy I know. Could you comment specific on the main index page and the forums page as well. I'm hoping to hear what could be made better?

jdrost:

Following my earlier post, even though the right navigation style is in fashion I think your site would be easier to navigate if your navs were located on the left. (just my opinion)

This is a online gaming community. the game is caled Medal of Honor Spearhead.

You have to buy the software, to play the CD online.

The index page is busy with alot of links and I thank you for the input. But can you adress the Forums, I've added "medals" recently, tell me what you think?

The over all layout of your website is great. I am looking at your site through Mozilla Firefox 2.0 though. Your image is overlaying with your “Welcome to the war legends clan official website!”. You have made the site easy to navigate around. Easy to read everything on your page as well. The reason of the website, I agree with it.

You had a view pages I went to with background images, with information going over them. I find that to be a pain in most cases, unless it is a very transparent image. Try making your images transparent a bit more, easier to read. I found no other problems with your site, and again this is my two cent I’m throwing at you as well. Good job IMO

there is too much going on, on the page and due to some of the things you have put on it, it makes it look very unprofecional which is a shame as it looks like alot of time and effort has gone into making it.

Not to be the naysayer, but I do not like the look of the site at all. It looks very elementary. The links don't go with anything and all the graphics are jumbled and low quality. Web design has come a LONG way over the past few years, but this site looks like a throwback to the 80s, before CSS was invented and every site was made with basic html tags.

I'd suggest buying a nice looking template and starting from there.

links to the right seems pretty strang but could work if they wernt completly against the rest of the site design. try making them roll overs with some simmilar colors that go with the site. or put some other colors in the site to match the links.
