I have revamped this site many times and think that I am going to keep it going in this direction.

Like the overall concept of the site. Anyway, IMHO you can use different colour for your background(white perhaps) for the center main content to emphasized your content because the background colour is about the same as your left and right navigation bar. It can distract your visitors and make your site looks a bit cluttered.

The left nav bar is extended beyond footer in Mozilla Firefox.

There is also a link to US HISTORY LANDMARKS under contact for your top navbar that is not visible in IE. There is also red border for your left and right column in mozilla firefox (see the snapshot).

Your site looks nice in IE. Kayaking seems fun. :D

I think the reason why your left column is extended in Mozilla is that you use <p> tags to space between subsections. Try replacing them with <br> and check your margin that you have assigned to your <p> tags. Hope this will help you out in some way.

I'm also facing the same problem with my site, :( It's a pain in the ass to get your site looks the way you want in different browsers.

Good luck with your site
