Unflux, your sites are excellent. Some people just have the talent. I have figured out that you do have to have talent in order to do this webmaster thing, I am so glad I have found this Forum, I get the chance to associate with everyone here, and see wonderful works like I have visited today...

But anyway, I am working off my P166 with some mismatched SIMM modules that I found lying around somewhere to get this bad boy up and running, don't even have a sound card in it, but as far as I could tell, it was alittle sluggish, but not really that bad at all, the music worked fine (even though I could not hear it, I enjoyed looking at your other sites that you designed.

Navigation was excellent, and so many different things happened after I clicked on the links that I HAD TO CLICK ALL OF THEMM!!!

heheh I love the site!

Presentation is excellent - loads quick, displays very well.

Here is the one thing that I particularly like - I like the ability to turn off the music. That's a nice touch. Sometimes I get to a Flash site and can't stand the music background and would like to shut it off but can't. I like your choice of music. Much better than what I usually hear.

I did a flash version of my resume where i called several text files into the movie. I'm not an expert in Flash by any means, and when I created it I did so only three days after I learned the program. I notice on mine when it's looking for the txt file I get a brief message "levelIO.filename" before it embeds the file.

I don't see that on yours or others that do the same, and I don't know why that happens. I'm curious if you know why.

Your website makes me want to spend more time learning Flash.

wow, thx for the compliments guys. I REALLY appreciate all the nice
things you are saying. I'm really glad you guys like my site.

I'll take some credit for the usability, because that was my goal in the
design. I wanted to make 100% flash site that has some frills, but
basically acted just like an html page. I think I accomplished that. Bad
part is, it took me a year to get it where it is! I can do it in a few days
now tho...hehe :D

adding a music on/off button is essential in any case of using music.
What you are saying is so true, and most people don't want music there
for more than 30 seconds anyway. Glad you like the choice I made for
my music, since i made it myself. ;)

Flash uses a lot of processor and especially when using tweened
gradients, which I use a lot in this design. I actually have a 166 set up
to test all my designs, and found it just a tad slow as well. Nothing I
worried too much about since most people are at least on P2's now.

yes! work more in flash. There needs to be a better opinion of flash out
there because, so many bad designers were making bad flash for so
long that people started to hate it. My entire site is less than 110 kb.
Try to do that with an html site. Not many people truly understand
the power and grace flash can have.

As far as the text is concerned, I actually am using text boxes within
flash itself, so the text is within the .fla file and not imported. I have
never had the problem you stated tho. I'll see if I can find something out
for you if you want.

Thanks again for the compliments. Anything about it that you would like
to see changed?? or that you don't like?

very cool site! Only thing I could add is that you should always let people skip your intro cause it's cool the first time, but not the 110th time
:)

Good Luck,

thx for the comments runnindude. I'd agree, but that whole 15 seconds
isn't gonna kill you. ;) It defeats the purpose to have a flash site and not
let it flash.

MediaDesign - duly noted. thx :)

without a doubt a 10/10 from me. I love the images you have..so crisp and clear, music also blends very well into the content.

I may be contacting you for a little flash work soon :)

The flash and plushness of everytihng on the site is pretty damn amazing, in fact its inspired me to go grab a copy and learn it {once i can find a cheep* copy} My one question is weather the downloading animation between 2 screens is just for show, or if thigns are actually loading... For example if i go to your work section, then try to go back to work, it loads things twice?..? i dunnea if that makes sense or not

Wow! Awesome site. I just love Flash and would love to have more time to learn how to do it.

One issue though....what about people who suffer from some form of visual disability? I love the feel that small text gives, but having done some web design for people with disabilities I have become acutely aware of the fact that Flash sites could mean that some users couldn't access the site. I don't really know if disabled people are part of your target audience as such but there are about 2 million people in the UK alone that have some visually disability. Just a thought. Perhaps you could develop an alternative site with basic html ???

Beautiful site and I really like the way you made the slideshow in a way that it is a background. Very nice and it will work for you great. Great sound as well.
