SITE REVIEW: Unicoder v2

I have not had chance to put up any actual content yet but i was hoping you could review my new site on its design, please be constructive and honest, thanks in advance!

Very interesting, very original and simple, i enjoyed it!

8/10 for the original concept! would give you a 10 if you could elaborate a bit more on the graphical presentation, nice going.

Original concept. Very nice.

1) The initial page doesn't preload the backgrounds, it loads them on hover. I didn't get what I was seeing when suddenly, these backgrounds came out of nowhere. Extremely distorting to the eye.

2) Very plain, though. You can be stylish and minimalist without being boring and amateur. You have an idea, you just don't know quite what to do with it.

3) 404s. At least put up a page. Please.
