ok... i actually did FOUR reviews, and i think i did a good job of telling people what i thought, but left out why's... cause there is rarely a reason really. thus, i don't expect reasons of what you think about mine, just your opinions.

http://www.veryhip.com

I hand drew the logo, scanned it, then photoshopped it a little.. then my friend shaded it for me... we plan on redoing it, so it's a WIP. however, i need some help with the FLOW of the site... i think it's coming along tho... check out the meta search engine... kinda neat eh. =]

btw: want a free email with no/low ads? right now... no ads, but maybe one every 3 pages here soon... signup =]

It has quite a way to go. The search seems to be functional. In fact, I was pretty impressed with the number of locals in my area. I would suggest starting by giving some purpose to your site by focussing on developing the main page. On entering, I couldn't even tell what the purpose was. In fact I'm still not even sure. I just clicked on the personals link and it started to make sense.

Personally, I'd skip the free email no/low ads gimick. That doesn't even sound the least bit enticing to me. I wish you luck, but I have initial low expectations that your concept will fly. Too many are already doing it very well.

I am sorry but it need a lot of work to make people to really go for it. Try to look around on other sites to get some inspiration and than set it up again.
It is so clean that you almost think that it is still under construction.

i think you should be using some sort of out-of-the-box php scripted website like php-nuke ...

Give it some more personality.

Good luck.

Well, it is just another site that looks like one of those spam companys bought and stuck their cookie cutter BS ad-site on it. Why would anyone use your website? The name doesn't even match with what the site is....

stop posting on old requests. Alerik is starting to be quite a pain about this and everyone else doesn't need to do the same. Everyone knows that the page looks like one of the placeholders, no-one cares any more, it was a year ago.

It does look a little cookie cutterish. Get a new layout and maybe change the whole style of the main page.
