http://www.MabelandTerence.com

I created the site above last month. I used javascript to display photos in sequence. (I thought of using flash but i was concerned it could take visitors long time to view so many photos in a big flash file.) Also I wrote PHP script to interact with a simple SQL database for the guestbook.

Hope you'll enjoy it ^_^

I would have a have the photo slideshows listed at the top with a bit of a navigation bar look. A nice photo banner at the middle of the top to center the page would also benice. I like the pictures on the page and their outline and edges looks very nice.

Actually, it isn't that slow. It loaded pretty fast for me.

The site looks nice for a personal website.

the point of a website review is to offer constructive criticism if you think its bad.

that being said, i quite like the site. the front page is very informative and the entire site layout is quite attractive. the photo pages do take a teeny bit long to load. are they loading all the pictures and then starting the slideshow? if so, maybe you could start downloading them all and start the slideshow after 3 have been completely downloaded.
read it!

HI I used different javascripts .

For the castle photo slide , i pre-load all photos before the slide show starts.
For other slides , slide show starts without pre-loading.
(i have to say i like the fade in effect in the castle photo slide show though)

Great Website. You need to acquire more experience but that is a good start.

Congrat. on you guy's wedding!

Overall the site is not bad, but i would recommend using Flash for all the pictures, you might want to let visitor skip pictures, pause picture or fast forward stuff like that, right now the picture really takes awhile to load.

It's a nice personal site - but I agree with the comment above, using flash would really work well.

I like the color layout, But I would lose the music and move some navigation to above the fold, it seems like some sort of blog untill you get to the photos, I'd say most people would look through the photos before they even read all that text on the front..
