I like it. The monochromatic layout is easy on the eyes and is effective in drawing people's attention to the content.

i was going for the simple look because it helps on advertisment too so they will get a bigger exposure since that is the only solid color area

It's really nice, tigrrra, great job. There are just a few very few minor suggestions I'd make:

- When you click on "news," although the layout is clear after a bit of looking at it (1+2+2 posts layout), initially it looks like they're sort of haphazardly thrown together. Perhaps if you gave each entry a slightly different background colour, or used some other visual element to differentiate one from the other, it wouldn't look so cluttered.

- I appreciate what you're saying about the greyscale garnering the ads more attention when you have them, just be careful that your site doesn't become too loud with ads, or it'll lose 100% of its appeal. If I go to a site that's as easy on the eyes as yours is, and in one corner or one side of it there are blocks of ads that are coloured brightly and animated, distracting me from the content, I will do one of two things: use AdBlock to get rid of them, or not return to the site. On the other hand, ads placed discriminatingly are not terribly bothersome.

- On your forums page, there's an extra little search box that pops up next to the login area. First, it's confusing because you already have search box above. Is this one specific to the forums? Second, it looks a little odd, aesthetically, all by itself just kind of hanging out there. Perhaps you could find a better place for is and rename it "forum search" or something.

Very good application of joomla. (or is it mambo...can't really say ). Clean design is always a key factor when working with web content management systems. keep up the good work.
