Portfolio website for a couple of Sydney graphic designers. Any comments would be appreciated. Don't be too hard on us...

when i clicked on the link i cam across a site with a pink background. to be honest my first impression was that the site was a porn site. When i moved on to the other page the theme was now maroon clearly i thought i was in a different world. I would suggest that the main link take people straight to the site with the maroon background.

on that page i think that the layout was good. though i always hate sites where the base is flash and the links lead to a popup html page. if you are working in flash, stay in flash.

hi sam
yeh i'm with cipher on this one - i don't think you need the splash page really - maybe it could bring that image up whilst it loads?

the design is great though and I think you've got very little to change on there. it would be nice to keep everything in one flash window as mentioned, and maybe a slightly more subtle, less bass-y, noise could play when you hover over a button, as it's a bit harsh, even with the volume low?

the colour scheme works is v nice, and it's great that you've got an unusual design like this working so well!

Thanks for the comments so far. Yeah, the splash page is something that'll change quite often. It's html for those non flash users and that's its real purpose. Something that people can go to, get an idea of our design ability or whatever, and e-mail us without having flash plugins or the time to go into the site.

The previous splash page was more congruous with the flash site. The pink is a bit wild, but we loved the design and wanted to put it up straight away. For people interested in our design work, the splash page is to be something we update every few weeks with a new graphic. May or may not be entirely in tune with the rest of the site. But we don't mind jarring stuff, hence the pop ups and harsh bass sounds etc. We should probably soften the tone a bit. We'll completely redesign the site every year, so it'll probably stay as it is for now. But definitely in the new design, the consensus is NO POP-UPS! We actually thought it'd be something a bit different, but obviously it's a sore spot for some people. They're sure misused throughout the web

Appreciate the feedback.
