I think it's way too red. it is really hard to focus on the content with that red background overpowering everything. Menu could use some work. Maybe consider roll overs for the sub menu items to help consolidate the length of the menu.

Nice and clean navigation and the site loads fast. But that red background is distracting. Also consider adding a top navigation link to let the user browse back to previous categories, like - /category/sub-category/. Contact Us form lacks sufficient information.
Otherwise, the site looks good.

Very nice and clean, a good example of a red website.

I'm on 230kbs and the first time I loaded it, I sat with a full screen of very bright for several seconds. Made me very nervous and was about to close out browser tab when the site finally rendered. The second time I brought it up, it opened much faster. So I can't give you an exact time, but it was probably around 3 seconds. A maroon or some other version of red would have made me far less nervous.

On my system, the left navigation bar extends way below the context. So without scrolling down, I'd never see the stuff listed at the bottom (like the vhs stuff). I agree about the horizontal nav bar. Maybe a lifestyle thing or very high level groups (e.g. electronics )

Did have good response on searches and db rendering

The site is way to unorganized, when it was loading I was waiting for some type of border defining the white box from the red background. Like on this site

On that site it uses red aswell...but it gives definition.

Plus I think you nav menu at the top should not be just text, make some rollover image etc.

And I would recommend getting rid of the Google search...or atleast make it search your site....and delete the google logo in the DIV.

I have to agree with murcielagossi... the example given gave me the menu very fast (so wasn't staring at a completely blank red screen) and the version of red they used also makes me far less nervouse, it didn't feel like I was waiting on a hacker prank to pop up and tell me my system was infected with something.

OK.I gather red is not a good color for most people.I am open for suggestions on other colors.I appreciate you guys taking the time to look at the sight. This sight is brand new so I needc all the advice I can get.I do not know how to change the navigation bar to the top and do you think it is to long to fit up there?I also know nothing about making it roll over but I can learn if you have knowhow and advise. Thanks!

Okay...below is a very basic rollover....replace the uppercase text with the according info.

Code: [ Select ]
<a href="FILE.php" onmouseover="document.NAME.src='FILE2.gif'" onmouseout="document.NAME.src='FILE1.gif'">
<img name="NAME" src="FILE1.gif" alt="FILE_ALT" /></a>
  1. <a href="FILE.php" onmouseover="document.NAME.src='FILE2.gif'" onmouseout="document.NAME.src='FILE1.gif'">
  2. <img name="NAME" src="FILE1.gif" alt="FILE_ALT" /></a>

And to make that rollover you just need two images for each link....or you could use plain list...but I think the images will do better.

And I wouldnt think on changing any content in the white area...that part looks good. But around that needs some cleaning.

Good luck.

I really liked it, simple and easy to use.
Also, you have plenty of content on your description pages which is where a lot of online stores go wrong.
