SITE REVIEW: www.citinow.com - new portal site

Hi there, I'm in the process of creating a new portal site. Its at http://www.citinow.com Check it out, register!, blog, and let me know what you think.

Its still in beta testing, the shopping goes to paypals sandbox, so you cant buy anything from it yet.

Funny, your site is ALMOST a competitor of mine, http://941fun.com (I put it up for review over a year ago and have reviewed several times, so dont kill me for linking Mods!)

Anyhow,
My site is geared toward the Sarasota area mainly, and in just over a year has become more and more popular as time goes by.

The Tampa market itself is largely saturated, TampaMojo pretty much has the 'portal' area on lockdown for the time being, but theyre national; and I can see that's the direction you may be thinking of going with this.

All B.S. aside, Here's my actual review of Citinow.com:

Ups: * Nice clean layout
* Coding works great

Downs: * Coding by Joomla!?
* This is a Tampa Bay site, you'll need to make that more evident if you ever expect any traffic.

#1 - Throw 'Tampa Bay' in your < title >

#2- If you want your AdSense account to ever earn you any revenue, you'll need to be throwing that word "Tampa" around ALL over this site, without making it look obvious or unnecassary. SEO means EVERYTHING in local markets such as yours, as a matter of fact, try these link search queries on for size, heres where you need to be! Good luck to you!

I've added a national splash page and put up 25 more sites since my post. The users are coming, although not as fast as I would like.

Very nice layout. Easy navigation with the big pictures. Add some more cities in the southeast. We need you in Charlotte, NC!

I like it, only thing is its just a little plain like white, its good but maybe the middle could get some jazz to it.

Very informative and contains good quality content. The white background seems a little simple, but the rest looks great!
