Hello,

I have a site that I would appreciate some input on. The site is hosted by Yahoo Merchant Solutions so it is one of their basic designs with some modifications.

I originally designed the site but quickly realized that wouldn't work. I found someone who did the redesign on a small budget. I know the site is not perfect. I have several things on my list which I feel need to be changed. Budget is still the overriding factor so I am limited with what I can do.

I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

thanks
Ronnie

When I choose an item and I will enlarge the picture, it opens in the same window. Nicer is a new window.

Oh, by the way: nice site !. :D

Thanks for your input.

The enlarged picture was one of the things on my list. There were several issues with that I have been looking at.

-open in a new window ( as you said )
-have the ability to purchase item from enlarged image window
-a back button on new page to return to item

I guess my main concerns are my conversion rate and shopping cart abandonment. Prior to the holidays I had a very low conversion rate. It picked up somewhat as to be expected during the holidays but it is still not where it should be. I know that shopping cart abandonment is to be expected and can not be avoided completely but I think mine is a little high.

The shopping cart is a standard Yahoo design. Right now they have a Beta version out which allows for a little more customization but I haven't tried that yet. I wanted to wait until the holiday rush is over prior to trying to iron the bugs out.

Any inputs to help these areas or others would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ronnie

I like the site.

My only feedback is that I think the website is slightly to wide. I am accessing the website from a laptop and find that I need to scroll across the page to see the whole website.

Pretty good effort.

My suggestions:

1) I agree that you need to open the enlarged picture in a new window.

2) Back button is good.

3) On the contact page, maybe you could put a 'form mail' type box so that users could simply enter their email address and message from your website without having to open their email accounts.

4) You might want to include a sitemap so that users can see all that your site has to offer from one page. It also helps with search engine indexing...

5) Check out your search function. When the result appear, a black box to the right of the bestseller box comes up. I believe this is an error.

Thanks for your comments.

- As far as the site width I thought we had addressed this. We will go back and look at that again.

- I will look into the error on the search page.

Thanks for all of your feedback.

One thing that has been bothering me is the blue background. It may not be that big a deal but I think it needs to be white. Any comments.

Thanks

Ronnie

Wow now that is nice! The plane thingy coming straight at you is a good effect and the menu on the left hand side is lovely, I think that there is maybe a little too many planes listed below though..

I like the design but I think that larger images be better. Something around 140x100 or 120x90
