In both cases i see following:

I really think the banner clashes with the rest of the website, or rather the website clashes with the banner.

Your home button needs to match the rest of the buttons

The purple text on the homepage clashes with the rest of the test

Bring the latest news part up to be just under the welcome area, to much space between the 2 areas.

Did you design this page using Dreamweaver?

Thanks for the suggestions etc so far.

In reply to Benat - no, I didn't use Dreamweaver. I designed elements of the site in Photoshop.

Nice site, especially the logo!

Seeing the width of logo and the volume of content, however, seems that you still have rooms for resizing your site. By doing so, your visitors will be less scrolling right and down the site.

Hi,

Thanks again for the comments.

I've made a few changes, mainly fixing the minor problems pointed out and changing the header slighty. Check out the changes and let me know what you think.

thepurplecow.

PS: samp - everyone's entitled to their opinion, and I didn't expect everyone to like the site. Thanks for posting!

It looks ...

Like it's a collage of few images. Their is no one theme or theme color that I came away it.

- Add some heading tag for the different content sections so visitors know what each content section is for, and since they're header tags they'll be considerably larger in size then your normal text and that's what you want with a heading.
- Use a color for those heading tags so it adds color to your text. right now it's just plain black(think about using the purple from your logo).
- I would also add a border of some type to differentiate your content's white background(where your text is) apart from the entire webpage's white background.
- the bottom header where you have the logo try putting that logo around a dark gray area just like you did at the top, but something about half the size. Generally the bottom headers tend to be a lot smaller in height and they'll encompass the links that you have at the bottom.
- Try to incorporate more CSS based layout instead of tables.

Keep testing, visit other websites for ideas and inspirations like http://www.csszengarden.com and other great CSS based sites.

the site itself is ok, but the concept looks like a scam to me... but anyway, it looks fine, i dont suppose it needs to be fancy.

If I were you I would steer clear of the javascript image rollovers, when I roll over the top buttons quickly nothing happens at all and it makes them a bit sticky.
