I've seen alot of these "Search sites" in looking through search engine submission sites... ALOT of them. If it were me, I'd try and do something more unique and original. This is much to generic for my liking. Like the name though :)

Hi,
I really like your site and the name of it ) purple being my fav colour) I did fill out form and try the link on my site but it didnt work sorry! might be cause i have a flash site?
Really nice looking site though, maybe put a border round it cause it does run of edge of screen. so maybe enclose all the wording with dif colour margine ether side.

After a couple months, I have updated the site again. I think it looks pretty good. I need some criticism though cause that always ends up making the site even better. Thanks

No one has comments on the layout? The Logo? The site in general?

Looks like a search engine and directory - does the job it's supposed to.

I think the search box should be bigger and have more space around it - basically make it the focal point of your site.

I also think you should, as you mentioned earlier, move the directory onto another page and add a link to it above your search box (or below), like Google has.

One more thing, I think the logo should be dark at the top and light at the bottom as I think this would make it more easy to read for first-time visitors to the site.

PS: I like the name as it's a bit like my site, The Purple Cow!

Use smaller logo for your site (something more fancy)
Too many ad spots
Top frame is very huge. It's hard to see the search results.

Here is what you should start with
You need to show your categories on the main page. I can hardely find anything off the search engin.
You can turn your website into a search engine after you gain alot of submited links.

Add a new category for adult website so i can submit my site lol .. i will suggest that to u :)

Regards,
T.R.

hi! remember me? you rejected my website. but it's ok i understand you.

well, what i can say to your website is it's simplicity, maybe you'll take it as either positive or negative, but for me, you should think of putting flash contents or gif or anything that moves to attract attention, and i think you should replace your logo with something better, or maybe add a small logo that will represent your website as the "smiley face" at friendster or the letter "y" at yahoo. anything else your site is nice.

Ok, well weeks have gone by and I took all your suggestions into consideration, and I think my website is looking better then ever.

Marvz, I rejected your site? Was it because you did not provide a recip link back? Because your site should not have been rejected and that is the only reason I can think of that it might have.

nope, it's not about the reciprocal link, i added your website to my links page back then...you said that you are being strict on what links you will add in your directory and you said that you don't like to add my website because i don't have my own domain and my website uses a subdomain...that's it..nothing about eciprocal links....

Nice and simple - and purple! yay haha

I don't like the pale green in the "Purple"... maybe make it.. I don't know, purple?

In firefox the search button.. there is no extra space below the textbox so its a solid purple. In IE it's fine, with the 1-2px spacing or whatever

Yea, I know the logo is not up to par, but I have a team working on the logo as we speak.
