Hi there,

opened a gallery for the worlds worst designs... Just wanted to get some feedback on it - it's held minimalistic so don't vote this site itself in :)

worlds worst webdesigns

cheers

Hey,

Whilst the idea is somewhat amusing I think you need to bring more humour into the website. I assume you vet each submission before it is displayed on your domain :?: It's just I thought one of the entries was 'not bad' and certainly didn't deserve to be listed on a 'worst ever ....' website.

Cheers, Prime ... :D

You're right, we check each submission before adding it to the gallery. Otherwise you might send your competitors pages there without a check ;)

Well, submissions we accept are not only scored by the look but also on the technique behind ( (x)html / css / script errors / server security ) - so you might find some "nice" looking pages in there.

Maybe I should rethink the design to make it a lot more friendly :)

This is a great idea for a website :)
I think you need to add more details on each submission : Doctype,
Tableless design, XHTML valid and CSS valid barely scratch the surface. Every horrible design is entitled to a full review :)

Yes, indeed. I am working actually on an ajax driven info part, so when you click on the image, it will slide out an accordion with all information about that page. In addition I might use my self written tag retrieval class to check for tables etc and create a final score.

Maybe I should add a full user comment section for the one submitting the page, which then ( if accepted the submission ) is shown on the page too.

Any other ideas how to improve this gallery? :)

Nice idea. The Tag Tag cloud comes off the background in ff. also you might want to bump the main menu up 2px it seems to get lost because its so small.

the anvigation bar is too short. Place provide more items. You have enough space there
