Yahoo and Google doesn't have the same algorithm to list a keyword with the same rank. It differs a lot. Sometimes your site may be placed well in google, but it doesn't get indexed in Yahoo. It happens ! Just do the same work, without looking at the rankings.

Just keep going with your optimization work. If you start worrying about tailoring your site to each search engine it will never finish.

not all search engines are same

and not same for the ranking too.

As SEZERB said just pay attention on your optimization work and will get the result soon.

Google and yahoo has their own algorithm to crawl the site. They have also different different criteria to see the site for indexing on them.

Hi, they are a little bit different in some areas such as counting the links and crediting them and the on page optimization. Some companies experience better traffic coming from Yahoo and others may stick to the Google results.

I agree with remaxactionfirst

Not all search engines have the same algo

Some of my sites keywords are no1 in all the major search engines. Some other keywords rank differently.

Dear,

It's all the game of different algorithm of search engines. Google prefers Offpage factors while ranking unlike Yahoo which prefers onpage factors while ranking...so concentrate a little bit more on onpage factors to get a higher rank on Yahoo too...

I agree with markov. Google and Yahoo have different algorithm used. Although it is possible that you rank #1 in Google and Yahoo but not in same time.

Google and Yahoo have different algorithm. It is easy to rank on google but not so easy on Yahoo and MSN. I observed that Yahoo and MSN is changing algorithm.
