How to keep emails in Trash for longer than one day?

Emails in my Trash folder get automatically deleted every day, and I find nothing in Options to allow me to alter this setting. This is a nuisance as sometimes I inadvertently delete a message that I want to retrieve a few days later.

If someone knows how to lengthen the period emails remain in Trash I would appreciate hearing from them.

And you're using which email provider/software?

By default Yahoo Mail provides 30 days for the mail in Trash. I have checked it myself. I dont remember about any setting. Still I'll look around to see if I can get any settings for increasing the period or so.

i thinks 30 days are already a long days to keep your trash folder..moreover, if it better to create a new folder for certain file that you still want to keep for certain time..i always make a same mistake just like you, but i overcome it by move the email to new folder..after a certain time i will trash it..
