Hello,

I have a new site http://www.edocsonline.com that I submitted to Yahoo in the end of January. It was included, indexed and ranked well for two weeks. Then the site was completely dropped.

However, for the last couple of days sometimes Yahoo shows my site as indexed and sometimes fails to find it. Result fluctuates and very inconsistence. One hour it is in, another hour it is out. Impossible to predict.

Does it mean that Yahoo has two databases, or may be more?

Must I submit my pages again? (Somewhere I read that Yahoo doesn't like that pages that are already in their database are submitted again).

Please let me know your opinion.

Olga.

You are not alone, my friend!

This has happened to every site that I have launched recently. I've also had issues with yahoo picking up domain pointers as the actual domain and ignoring the real domain....

Another thing that has happened is one day the site is #1 or 2 and the next day the main home page isn't even listed and yahoo shows three internal pages spread out in the top ten.....

Here's the good news.....after about 6 months you will get the main page listed and maybe even higher than where it first appeared. In the mean time keep getting good links with relevant anchor text and everything will be OK :)

Hi Olga, I wouldn't think submitting again (but it might hurt ..). Links building
would be the best thing to do right now..
Good luck,
Johann

submitting again and again is not useful.
theoretically, submitting to search engines is not required.
do you have enough back links to be found by yahoo?
if you can make yahoo crawl your site often,
i suppose the inconsistency you pointed out may not be there.
