I suddenly became aware in a round about way this afternoon that Yahoo is testing a new home page design. Apparently not everyone is getting it, but I am. In FF 3.0.8 when I try to go to http://www.yahoo.com I am redirected to the new design at http://m.www.yahoo.com but all other browsers goes to http://www.yahoo.com existing home page.

Here's a screen cap of what I get now. I've been seeing it for long enough that I've gotten used to it being there. According to this link it may have started some time around September http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/018335.html

Here's a screen shot with the Apps menu expanded.

Overall, I really like the design. It's very slick, efficient and really easy to navigate around. Honestly since I seldom use IE, I just thought this was the way everyone was seeing it now.

Found more info on this

http://kara.allthingsd.com/20080917/a-f ... apps-rule/

and here

I wasn't a really big Yahoo user before, but I like this new design so much I will probably visit Yahoo much more frequently now.

ever since google came out, i didn't realize that yahoo had a homepage. :P
has anybody had issues with their yahoo mail in the last 2 months? I had to revert to yahoo mail "classic" because the updated on ewould only load 20% of the time and error out the rest of it.
