so, just a topic starter, what does everyone think will happen once yahoo starts pulling from inktomi, instead of google. Supposably this is supposed to start happening very soon, in the next month.
Any ideas.

Well I am not really sure, but i know I would just use Google. I am not sure if the people who use the Yahoo search realize Google was providing all the results. I am guessing many will just continue to use Yahoo because they do not know any difference.

Until Google stops providing such a good service, I probably won't use any other search engines except to check them for my client's placement or submit their sites.

I honestly can't recall the last time I searched for ANYTHING on Yahoo (even though I was aware it was handled by Google results). It's been a couple years at least.

Why bother with the others. Google gives the results.

I'm not so sure it will matter too much what Yahoo does. I think most SEO's stick with Google, but what about the 'normal' user who doesn't think much about what's actually going on in getting the results? They'll probably go on using yahoo if they have already, so basically its up to Yahoo to make sure that they don't p*ss off any users with too much targetted advertising etc.

Maybe I'm not giving the casual user enough credit... :?
