http://answers.yahoo.com/

I am not sure if any of you have noticed, but Yahoo has a new area called Yahoo Answers that they started last week on December 7, 2005. It seems to directly compete with Google Answers that they started about three years ago. I am not entirely sure but I think Google charges a fee, and Yahoo doesn't.

Yep, played around with it last week. Found quite a few stupid questions, possibly due to being no fee.

LOL, looks like nobody has answered. I guess that means nothing is better :)

With regards to Yahoo Answers and Google Answers it will be kind of interesting to see what is more successful, the free business model, or the paid one. I can see different drawbacks from both sides. The free one might not be taken as seriously because of all the dumb and stupid questions. The paid one will probably have alot less questions asked per a given amount of traffic, but the questions might be more meaningful and serve a purpose.

i have seen yahoo answers recently
and it is more or less like a general messge board
where people ask anything and anybody can answer anything.
though we may get some decent answers,
we may also get funny or useless ones.
