Yahoo doesn't use PR for ranking the sites yet it ranks the websites in another ways by its own algo and calculations based on backlinks.

Hey there,

Yahoo use to have a "PR" system called webrank. However, when they released it, it was a beta version. Thats at least what I read elsewhere :)

I do not think it is public anymore though.

The only thing I know that can really boost yahoo SERP rankings is being listed in their directory.

I wonder if being registered for google adsense would boost that rankng as well heh.. guess at the very least I would get more traffic.

Sincerely,
Travis Walters

Yahoo doesn't have a PR system. Yahoo is based on keywords , relevancy and content for a site.

Why not! Is pr only for google? Yahoo and MSN are the search engines with the same algorithm. I observed that Google will focus on keywords and content. I think Yahoo has no plan for page rank but rather improving the search results and adding some services that will benefit to the users. :)

PR is only useful for gauging how successful your link building has been and is far from being the main way of improving SERPs. As has been said yahoo works on different ranking factors than GG, but TR (trust rank) is going to replace PR anyway so who cares about PR nowadays anyway!

Yeah, but you need to convert the visitor once they get there. . .
