I have submitted my site through Yahoo Express and 4 days later my site appeared there and in YahooWeb as well. Everything was fine for 10 days (good ranking, specially for new site), but 10 days later the site was dropped.

Is anyone familiar with this problem? What could be the reasons for this?

Please post your comments.

Submitting to yahoo express doesn't guarentee you any priority or placement in their engine.

Yahoo do seem to take time listing new sites to them, normally the homepage will just be listed, but sometimes they do drop the site for a bit.

The only cure - Time

Jessica, Thank you.

Does it mean that the site would be restored in their database later?

More than likely yes.
The best thing you can do is keep working on getting backlinks to your site and Yahoo should re-index you within no time :)

even if yahoo drops your site at present, as it finds more incoming links to your site, it may reindex your site and it may rank well too

I experience something similar a few months ago...my site showed back up about a week later. Just give it a bit of time. If it's not back in 2 weeks...you may have a cause for concern.
