well i thought it was in t Program Files so I was searching all over. It
wasn't showing up in search because in XP, the default is to exclude
hidden files in search. Guess what this file registers as? you guessed it!
a hidden file.

haha!!! i knew it was somewhere in the doc's and settings but wasnt 100% sure exactly where... there are files in that same folder area for NAV (norton antivirus) too as well as some other important ones...

I actually changed my location of the PST file so that it is on my hard drive that isn't where Windows XP resides. That way whenever I reinstall Windows XP, I do not lose any of my mail 🙂

Same here,
I keep my .pst and .pad in a location I prefer.
and back it up weekly.

Hell yeah i always find my self referencing back WAY BACK to emails for account numbers passwords etc.. my email goes back 3 years in my inbox...

Where is the PST located at in Windows XP? What i heard it stores my e-mail's for me. When ever i reinstall Windows XP. I always lose my e-mail's and i lose important e-mail's too. I hate when i lose e-mail's. Thanks

He shows right there the where the PST file is located in Windows XP. Do you not see this?

what version of win u got right now? did you try the search feature in
windows? they ALL have it. Try searching for *.pst and make sure
hidden files are viewable.

nope. I did a search on my computer for .pst. It found nothing. I tryed pst without the (.) sign. It found nothing
