Not a huge update, but I thought I would mention what sort of progress has happened for the remaining part of 2023. Many of the updates affect structured data or what is communicated to search engines like Google for helping to display rich results. I am not going to go into any details there.
The most notable update that affects everyone is that anytime a new thread or post is made there is now a 5-minute grace period to allow editing without triggering revisions. So for example, imagine that you were creating a new thread, and after looking over everything you hit the submit button so it posts. Before this update, the thread would be immediately available for others to see (or sent to the review queue if Ozzu doesn't trust you), and notifications would be sent out. If you discovered a mistake at this point, you would edit it, and a revision would be made. Any text used in the notification would still have the error though.
With the new updates imagine the same scenario. Now after hitting submit, nobody will see your post, and no notifications will go out until a 5-minute grace period has passed. If within those 5 minutes you find a mistake and edit it, the post will change and another 5 minutes will be added to the grace period. No revision will be made. Once 5 minutes pass without any more edits, then the post will be considered published, notifications will be sent out, everyone will be able to see the post (or sent to the review queue), and if you make any changes after this grace period then a revision would be created like normal.
