Perhaps you are like me and are looking for a good video editor but need a free version or can't afford a professional version or a subscription service. I found a video editing program called DaVinci Resolve.

At first glance it reminded me of Adobe Production Suite (specifically Adobe After Effects) all wrapped up into one program. And the free version offers so much more than I ever expected. I'm considering this my Christmas present to myself. Hope to be making food videos with it soon! It's called DaVinci Resolve and is available with a free version and pro versions from Black Magic Design. The free version is really free - not a trial version, no ads, no watermarks. The only thing needed to download the free version you need to fill out a registration, and so far, I haven't been spammed with endless emails from them.
For any who have ever used Adobe After Effects the interface may look familiar to you:

This is not really for Novices. In fact, the pro and studio versions are used by professionals.
However, if you want to give it a go here's a Five Hour Beginner Tutorial to get you started.
